Optim IP is partnered with some of the major cloud computing leaders for the delivery of our cloud services.
The selection of our technology and network partners and suppliers depends on a combination of experience, reliability, mutual understanding, strong technical capabilities and exceptional service delivery. Based on these criteria we have chosen to work with industry leaders in developing and building the Optim IP cloud computing solutions, services and deliverables.
Several technology leaders such as Cisco, EMC, SAP and VMware have signed up to an ‘Open Cloud Manifesto’ calling for greater consistency in cloud computing security and monitoring. This cross-industry initiative brings together leading IT companies who are committed to ensuring that cloud computing develops as an open, flexible and collaborative architecture. However, the industry is yet to reach general agreement because some other key cloud computing players, including Amazon.com and Google, have not agreed to sign up to the manifesto.
Three of the main cloud computing leaders – EMC, Cisco and VMware – have recently joined forces to create a Virtual Computing Environment. This coalition aims to deliver IT in a new, accelerated and cost-effective way via the industry’s first completely integrated IT offering: combining best-of-breed virtualisation, networking, computing, storage, security, and management technologies. This is supplemented by end-to-end vendor accountability and a seamless support experience.
Optim IP customers benefit from the best of both worlds: service provision direct from cloud computing leaders, but with the convenience of a single point of contact for customer service, simplified billing and contract management.
